Ritu Kumar at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week 2013

Ritu Kumar had the honour of closing Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Spring- Summer 2013 and she did not disappoint. She split her show in half showing off motifs and moods inspired by the Art Deco movement in 1930s. 

The pieces were crafted to offer a modern representation. Dropped waists, bold forms and delicate embroideries were juxtaposed with modern techniques and shaping. 

While later she took inspiration from the Indian Freedom Movement and the colonial era. This resulted in the use of rich tapestries, laces, brocades and embroideries. 

The collection ended with a regal collection of gold, black and jeweled ensembles reminiscent of the India of the mid 20th century with its Baroque influences and distinctive style of Indo European fashion & who better than Esha Gupta the show stopper who walked the ramp with great grace and poise in the royal collection.

Manish Malhotra showed off his latest Mijwan collection at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Spring- Summer 2013. The collection saw earthy, subdued tones like ivory, burnt orange, Cr�me, dull shades of red, pink and the likes.

 The collection embraces the traditional but popular embroidery work � Chikankari. Manish Malhotra employed the help of Parineeti Chopra who was his show-stopper. We loved the tangerine against the dark navy colour with ripples of gold at the hem.

 Parineeti�s outfit was so deliciously divine that even the hiccup with the duppata did not deter our enthusiasm. Drooling we were and we guess that many of you will do so as well.

Sulakshana Monga collection �Soltee� at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week 2013

Sulakshana Monga showcased her collection �Soltee� at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Spring- Summer 2013. 

Sulakshana�s new collection had a smarter and characterized look portraying the stronger side of women. Colour palette revolved around yellow, blue, turquoise and green.

 The outfits had detailed thread embroidery and patchwork. Fabrics used in the collection comprised of silks, chiffon�s, georgette�s, and chanderies. The whole collection comprised of long draped gowns.
